Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is coming to PC this year

Black Isle Studios has announced that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will be coming to PC this year, almost 20 years after the game’s late 2001 launch. Last week, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance launched on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Switch, modernising the D&D classic to support higher resolutions on the latest console hardware.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is one of the only D&D games to lack a PC release, with the game’s PC development plans being scraped while the PC port was in early development. The game’s original PC port was to be developed by CD Projekt Red before the project was scrapped.

The PC version of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is due to launch on Steam, with Black Isle Studios confirming that the game will support online co-op through Steam’s remote play feature. This confirms that the game will be launching on Steam, though the game may also release on alternative PC platforms like GOG.

Black Isle Studios has stated that they will soon release “more solid information” about the game’s PC port.
