Call of Duty: Warzone will soon support Nvidia’s DLSS technologyÂ
At their CES 2021 “Game On” event, Nvidia announced that DLSS is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing one of the company’s key technologies to one of the world’s most popular PC games.Â
Nvidia’s DLSS technology utilises the AI performance of Nvidia’s RTX series graphics cards to deliver higher performance levels within supported PC titles. This is accomplished by upscaling lower-resolution frames to create higher resolution versions, reducing the workload on RTX-powered graphics cards to increase framerates. The best part about DLSS is that this can deliver similar image quality levels to natively rendered images, offering nigh-identical and sometimes higher quality results.Â
Bringing DLSS to Call of Duty Warzone gives Nvidia a huge advantage over AMD, as AMD/Radeon don’t have a technology that can compete with DLSS. For gamers, DLSS is effectively a free performance upgrade for Geforce RTX users. With Warzone’s DLSS patch, Nvidia RTX GPU users will soon have a free performance upgrade. Â
