Capcom promises a standalone PC benchmark tool for Monster Hunter Wilds

PC gamers can expect Capcom to release a standalone benchmarking tool for Monster Hunter: Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds is launching on February 28th, and ahead of launch, Capcom plans to release a standalone benchmark tool for the game on PC. This will allow PC gamers to judge if their systems are ready for the newest entry in the Monster Hunter series.

Capcom has also stated that they have been improving the PC performance of Monster Hunter Wilds on PC and console. Currently, the company is considering lowering the game’s recommended GPU requirements. Capcom has also been working to improve their games’ performance on consoles.

Below is what Monster Hunter Germany had to say about the Wilds’ upcoming benchmark tool and PC hardware requirements.

Here’s a look at our updated Prioritize Performance mode for PS5. The team has been addressing rendering issues from the open beta test and is continually working on improvements for launch. Also, here are the performance goals planned for launch! PC Gamers: Performance will be improved in a similar way and we are looking into whether we can lower the recommended GPU requirements. We also plan to release a standalone, free hardware benchmark tool.

Monster Hunter Germany

Monster Hunter Wilds will likely have a huge playerbase when it launches next month. The game’s predecessor, Monster Hunter World, remains one of the most played games on Steam, despite being a game from 2018. Monster Hunter Worlds: Iceborne, the game’s only major story DLC, released in January 2020. That was over five years ago. Despite this, Worlds has remained incredibly popular on PC.
