Crytek has given Hunt Showdown a permanent price drop

Hunt Showdown has received a major price drop ahead of the game’s next-gen overhaul

On August 15th, Hunt Showdown will be getting a major overhaul on PC and consoles. The game will be moving to the latest version of CryEngine, and drop support for last-generation consoles. Soon, the game will look better than ever on PC and consoles, and to celebrate, Hunt Showdown has received a permanent price drop.

Crytek’s price drop starts today on PC, reducing the game’s price to £25.99 on Steam. The game’s pricing has been reduced by up to 30%, with minor regional variations. DLC pricing has also been reduced. On consoles, Hunt Showdown’s pricing will be reduced on August 15th, when the game’s next-generation overhaul is completed.

With the game’s CryEngine 5.11 upgrade, players can expect to see a new map, a new biome, and a redesigned UI. The game will also be receiving performance updates, and improvements to the game’s visuals.

Crytek is currently working on Crysis 4. That means that Hunt Showdown’s upcoming update may give us a glimpse of the tech inside the next Crysis game. CryEngine has changed a lot since the release of Hunt Showdown, and we will see the benefits of those changes on August 15th.
