Death Stranding’s PC version will release simultaneously on Steam and the Epic Games Store
Death Stranding released on PlayStation 4 on November 8th to mixed reviews; mostly due to the game’s atypical gameplay and story focus. The PC version of the game will launch in “Early Summer 2020”, with 505 Games opting not to take part in Epic Games Store exclusivity, as they did with Control.Â
Right now, it is possible to pre-purchase Death Stranding on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. At this time Death Stranding has been revealed for no other PC storefront. Sadly, this means that there will likely be no GOG version of Death Stranding, at least at launch.Â
On PC, Death Stranding will cost $59.99/£54.99/â¬59.99. At this time the game has no confirmed PC system requirements.Â
Below is 505 Games’ announcement of PC pre-orders going live. Strangely, this announcement has mentions of the Epic Games Store redacted on Steam. On Valve’s storefront, the announcement reads that the game “will launch simultaneously on Steam” redacting “and the Epic Games Store”. The Steam announcement also redacted “store of your choice”, and replaced it with “store page…”. At this time it is unknown who made these alterations, 505 Games, or Valve/Steam. Â
Last week, we unveiled the exciting news that 505 Games will bring Hideo Kojimaâs genre-defying Death Stranding, to PC next Summer.
