DLSS 3 is coming to Starfield next week through beta update
Bethesda confirms that DLSS 3 and FSR 3 are coming to Starfield
Bethesda Game Studios has confirmed that a beta update for Starfield is arriving next week that will bring Nvidia DLSS 3 support and more. Alongside DLSS, this update will add HDR controls to the game, and a number of game optimisations and improvements. Initially, this update will be available on PC as an opt-in beta update.
With this planned beta update, Starfield will support Nvidia’s DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation technologies. Currently, these features require game mod to enable. With DLSS Super Resolution, gamers can expect higher levels of image quality than AMD’s FSR 2 upscaler when using Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs. With Frame Generation, RTX 40 series GPU owners can expect a framerate increase thanks to the addition of AI-generated frames.
Note, DLSS is for PC Nvidia users only. Weâll also have AMD FSR3 support in a future update.

FSR 3 support is coming to Starfield
Bethesda has confirmed that they plan to bring both DLSS 3 and FSR 3 to Starfield. FSR 3, FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, is AMD’s answer to DLSS 3. FSR 3 adds Frame Generation support to AMD’s FSR toolset. This will allow users of all modern graphics cards access to AMD’s Frame Generation feature. This includes older Nvidia RTX graphics cards. DLSS Frame Generation only works on Nvidia’s RTX 40 series GPUs.
