EA releases 25-minute gameplay demo of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

At E3 2019, EA showcased a small amount of gameplay footage of Jedi: Fallen Order, the company’s latest Star Wars game. Now, EA has seen fit to release an extended cut of their E3 2019 demo, which is over 35 minutes long and showcases a lot more of the upcoming game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen order will release on November 15th on PC, Xbox One and PC, launching as a 3rd person action game where players take control of Cal, a young Jedi who survived Order 66.

Within the demo comes a familiar face, with Forrest Whitaker, who assumes the role of Saw Gerrera within this post Episode 3 section of the Star Wars timeline.

Players are expected to utilise their Jedi powers to take down Imperial forces and bypass the obstacles that stand in their way, though in some cases the wildlife contained within the game will pose more of a threat than the Empire.

As part of his force powers, Cal can slow down time to reflect enemy projectiles with perfect accuracy, wall run and utilise standard Jedi force powers like force push and force pull. Within the game, the Empire will have Purge Troopers at their disposal, specially trained Stormtroopers which are trained specifically to hunt Jedi.

Within the gameplay footage below a KX-series Security droid is also shown, the same droid type that first appeared in Star Wars: Rogue One in the form of K-2SO, though the KX droids in Fallen Order will be a lot less friendly.

Order 66 has been executed. Once, staying alive meant hiding your abilities. Now, you must embrace         them. Use the Force to manipulate your environment, master lightsaber combat, explore dangerous terrain, and remain one step ahead of the Empire.
