Enter the Gungeon is now available for free on PC

2016’s Enter the Gungeon is now available for free on Windows and MacOS powered PCs, enabling a majority of PC gamers to “Enter the Gungeon” as one of several playable characters and adventure through procedurally generated dungeons alone or together through the game’s co-op mode.

This free gaming promotion comes via the Epic Games Store, which is why Linux users are unable to access this free title. At the time of writing, the Epic Games Store lacks support for Linux, which means that only the Windows and MacOS versions of the game are freely available. This may change in the future, assuming Epic Games is interested in the Linux platform, but at the moment, Linux games are not available on Epic’s platform.

Upon its release, Enter the Gungeon was well-received thanks to its satisfying gameplay and variety, enabling several playthroughs of the roguelike without the game feeling repetitive. The game can be described as a fast-paced bullet hell shooter with roguelike elements, making the game similar to The Binding of Isaac in many regards.

PC gamers can gain access to a free copy of Enter the Gungeon on the Epic Games Store. This offer will be available until June 20th, after which Rebel Galaxy will be available for free.
