Final Fantasy XVI has been revealed for PC, and a free demo is available now

Square Enix has officially revealed the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI, mere weeks after the game’s appearance on Nvidia GPU drivers. The game will be coming to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17th. Additionally, Square Enix have released a free demo version of the game, which covers the opening section of the game.

Following the game’s reveal, AMD announced that Final Fantasy 16 will support their FSR 3 technology on PC. Currently, we expect the game to also support alternative upscaling technologies, like DLSS and XeSS at launch.

The game will be available on PC in several forms. First, there is the “base” game (which costs £44.99), and a “Complete” edition (£64.99) that includes the game’s first two DLCs.

Before now, Final Fantasy 16 was a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Currently, there is no signs of this game coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles. On PC, gamers can expect to play this game at higher framerates and resolutions than the console version. That said, this assumes that you have a PC that is more powerful than Sony’s PlayStation 5.
