Nvidia drivers reveal Final Fantasy 16 optimisations – PC release incoming?

Nvidia’s GPU drivers are ready for Final Fantasy 16’s long awaited PC version

Nvidia fans over on Reddit have dove deep into Nvidia’s new GeForce 560.81 GPU drivers and have found optimised game profiles for an unreleased PC game. This Nvidia game optimisation profile is for Final Fantasy 16, a game that is currently exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 5 console.

Square Enix has already confirmed that Final Fantasy 16 is coming to PC. However, the company has not revealed when the game will be launching on the platform. Based on Nvidia’s latest GPU drivers, the game’s PC version appears to be an advanced state. Why else would Nvidia have optimised driver profiles for the game.

At a minimum, Nvidia’s engineers have had some access to a pre-release build of the game. That said, it is likely that the game’s PC version may be an Nvidia optimised title on PC. The game could be an Nvidia sponsored title on PC, which may mean that the game’s PC version will have some RTX goodies at launch. DLSS 3 support is likely. Additionally, enhanced ray tracing support could be part of the game on PC.

Final Fantasy 16 is coming to PC, and Nvidia’s driver profiles prove that the game’s PC version is in an advanced state. Will the game be released soon? Who knows… Presently, there is speculation that the game’s PC version will be revealed at Gamescom. Though a reveal at the Tokyo Game Show in September is also possible.
