Gearbox releases Borderlands 3’s PC system requirements

2K Games and Gearbox have officially revealed the PC system requirements of Borderlands 3, which is due to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 13th.

Gearbox has reconfirmed that the company will be working with AMD to optimise their game for both Ryzen and Radeon hardware. This partnership will bring DirectX 12 support to the game alongside support for FidelityFX.

On the CPU-side, gamers will be able to make use of older processors such as the AMD FX-8350 or Intel’s i5-3570, and graphics cards as old as AMD’s Radeon HD 7970 or Nvidia’s GTX 680. These hardware specs make up Borderlands 3’s minimum hardware requirements for 1080p gaming.

Gearbox recommends that PC players for Borderlands 3 use higher-end hardware. Below, AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600 and Intel’s i7-4770 are listed as recommended processors, pairing them with 16GB of system memory and a Radeon RX 590 graphics card or Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB graphics card.
