Grand Theft Auto VI breaks YouTube records with its first trailer
The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has a record-breaking view count
Grand Theft Auto VI was only revealed two days ago, but the game is already record-breaking. Guinness World Records has given GTA 6 is first world record for becoming the “most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours”. In 24 hours, the game’s trailer received 90,421,491 views on YouTube, a feat that is only bested by music videos on the platform.
Right now, Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer has received over 120 million views on YouTube. This makes the trailer Rockstar Games’ most viewed game trailer to date. Grand Theft Auto V’s first trailer has a view count of over 103 million. This view count has taken 12 years to achieve. Grand Theft Auto VI has smashed the view count for that trailer in a matter of days.
Grand Theft Auto VI is due to release in 2025 on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Rockstar Games has not revealed a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. Grand Theft Auto VI will not be coming to last-generation console platforms, as those platforms do not feature strong enough hardware to run the game.
