Grand Theft Auto VI is on track to release this Fall

GTA VI is still on track to release this year

Take-Two Interactive has released its Q3 2025 earnings report, confirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is due to be released this year. This report should push away any claims that GTA VI has been delayed until 2026. However, this doesn’t mean that a delay is impossible.

Rockstar Games has been silent about Grand Theft Auto VI since the company released the game’s first trailer in December 2023. While some have claimed that GTA VI was originally due to be released in Spring 2025, Rockstar never committed to that release timeframe. As such, the game cannot be considered delayed.

2025 is going to be a busy year for Take-Two. Next week, Civilization VII will be released on PC and consoles. This summer, Mafia: The Old Country will be released. Later in the year, after GTA VI, Borderlands 4 is due to be released. Take-Two says that this may be “one of the strongest years” in the company’s history.

This calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for [the company], as we plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 on 11th February 11, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4.

Take Two

As of now, Grand Theft Auto VI has not been revealed for PC. As of now, the game has only been announced for Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game will likely come to PC long after the game’s console version. This was the case for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. We expect history to repeat itself with GTA VI.
