HandBrake version 1.0.0 has been released

 
After over 13 years of development version 1.0.0 of HandBrake, one of the world’s most popular video transcoding packages, has been released. 
 
      After more than 13 years of development, the HandBrake Team is delighted to present HandBrake 1.0.0.
Thank you to all of our many contributors over the years for making HandBrake what it is today. 
 
With this new version comes several new features, with an overhaul of the transcoders official presets, support for VP9, Ultra HD / 4K Color (including BT.2020) and both 10-bit and 12-bit colour. 
 
Full release notes can be found on HandBrake’s official website, detailing a lot of bug fixes and additional hardware support like Intel QuickSync H.265 support for Skylake and newer CPUs. 
 

  

HandBrake version 1.0.0 has been released  

With this new release, the creators of HandBrake are planning to produce new documentation with the aim to make HandBrake easier to use for beginners, as well as produce guides which will be easy to understand by those who are less technically minded or beginners in the video creation scene.
