Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is on track for its PC release in early 2024

Horizon Forbidden West’s PC version is on track, Guerrilla Games confirms

Horizon: Zero Dawn is currently available on Steam with a 75% discount. During this sale, Guerrilla Games has released a post on Steam to remind PC gamers that its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC, and that it is on track for an early 2024 release.

Horizon Forbidden West will come to PC in the form of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. This new version will include bonus content for the game and the game’s Burning Shores expansion. This version of the game is already available to gamers on PlayStation 5.

With Horizon Zero Dawn currently on sale on Steam, we wanted to remind you that the sequel Horizon Forbidden West will soon arrive on PC!

Horizon Forbidden West is one of Sony’s most popular game releases of 2022. The game launched as a cross-generational title on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. While the game launched as a cross-generation title, Forbidden West’s Burning Shores expansion was released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive earlier this year. This was due to the expansion’s harsher hardware requirements.

The PC version of Forbidden West Complete Edition will be launching though both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Currently, the game has no firm PC release date or PC system requirements.

Forbidden West is a sequel to 2017’s Horizon: Zero Dawn, which launched on PC in 2020. While the game launched on PC with some issues, Horizon Zero Dawn now has a solid PC port, and its success paved the way to Sony’s full-on embrace of the PC market.

With Nixxes at the helm, we expect good things from the PC version of Forbidden West. Nixxes has previously created the PC versions of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remaster, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, all of which have great PC version. Gamers can expect to see DLSS, XeSS, and FSR upscaling in Forbidden West’s PC version at launch, and graphical settings that will exceed the game’s PlayStation 5 version. We can also expect common PC features like an unlocked framerate, ultrawide monitor support, and full mouse/keyboard controls.
