Square Enix reveals Marvel's Avengers

Intel has become the PC hardware partner for Marvel’s Avengers

Intel has announced that they have become the official PC hardware partner for the PC version of Marvel’s Avengers, a game which is due to release on May 15th 2020.

At this time it is unknown how Intel will influence the release of Marvel’s Avengers, as at the time of writing, Intel is primarily a CPU company. Yes, Intel is due to release discrete graphics processors in 2020, but it remains questionable whether or not Intel’s gaming partnership will extend to discrete graphics cards. That said, the game could be made to enable respectable performance levels on Intel’s latest integrated graphics chips.

Intel is not new to gaming partnerships, having been the hardware partner for the Total War: Warhammer series in recent years. This new deal with Square Enix makes it likely that Intel will include Marvel’s Avengers as a pack-in title with their upcoming graphics card lineup, as Intel will need a solid incentive to attract consumers to their upcoming graphics products.

Marvel’s Avengers is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the recent Tomb Raider reboot series. The game is set to release on May 15th, 2020 and release on PC, Xbox One PlayStation 4 and Stadia.
