IO Interactive unveils 007 First Light

IO Interactive’s getting ready to showcase its James Bond game

On June 7th, IO Interactive plans to host its first IOI Showcase, where the company plans to unveil its highly anticipated James Bond game. IOI’s “Project 007” now has an official name: 007 First Light.

At the IOI Showcase, gamers can expect updates on Hitman: World of Assassination, 007 First Light’s official reveal, and a look at MindsEye, a game that IO Interactive are publishing.

Previously, IO Interactive has stated that its “Project 007” game would reveal how James Bond received his “00” status. In other words, the game is an origin story for the world’s most famous spy. 007 First Light will likely be exclusive to current-generation platforms, like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Project 007, 007 First Light, will be powered by IO Interactive’s Glacier Engine. This is the game engine behind the Hitman: World of Assassination Trilogy.

IO Interactive has told gamers that they can expect to see “more” at their upcoming showcase. The showcase will start at 6:00PM PDT on June 6th (2 AM BST on June 7th).

You can join the discussion on IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game on the OC3D Forums.
