Is your PC ready for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum?

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum PC system requirements have been released 

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum now has a firm release date, May 25th 2023, and pre-orders for the game are now available. Alongside this new release date, Daedalic Entertainment have released PC system requirements for The Lord of the Rings Gollum, revealing modest CPU requirements for the game and higher then normal GPU requirements. 

The Lord of the Rings Gollum is due to support both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 codepaths on PC, with the game supporting ray tracing under DirectX 12. Currently, Nvidia’s GTX 1080 and RTX 2060 are listed as The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’s minimum supported graphics cards, and Nvidia’s RTX 3080 is listed as the game’s recommended GPU (with DLSS in Quality Mode). 

Nvidia’s RTX 3080 graphics card is recommended when The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is played at 1440p High settings with ray tracing enabled and DLSS set to Quality mode. Sadly, Daedalic Entertainment has not specified what recommended hardware configuration.

   The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an official adaptation based on the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Taking place in parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure game and an epic interactive experience. You play as the enigmatic Gollum on his perilous journey and find out how he outwitted the most powerful characters in Middle-earth.  

CPU-wise, The Lord of the Rings Gollum requires a minimum of an i7-4770 or a Ryzen 5 1600 processor to run at 16GB of RAM, though Intel’s i3-6100 and AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600 processors are recommended a alongside 32GB of system memory. On PC, The Lord of the Rings Gollum will use 45GB of storage.
