Logitech acquires Streamlabs for $89 Million

Logitech has announced that they have acquired StreamLabs, a software leader within the Streaming market. The acquisition of StreamLabs was for $89 million, with an extra $29 million in shares being reserved for when StreamLabs hits specific growth targets.

StreamLabs has quickly grown to become one of the leading companies in today’s streaming market, offering users an advanced software suite that’s based on the Open Source OBS software. Like Corsair, Logitech sees a growth opportunity within the streaming market, making StreamLabs a prime candidate for acquisition.

Today, Logitech makes microphones, webcams and plenty of other pieces of useful streaming equipment, making StreamLabs a useful tool within Logitech’s arsenal. It is likely that we will see Logitech’s Gaming Division and StreamLabs work closely on future product integrations, creating a useful synergy that other brands lack.
