Metro Exodus Gains New Game and Improved RTX/DLSS on PC

4A Games has released their first major content patch for Metro Exodus, adding New Game to the title alongside a wide range of platform-specific improvements.

For starts, PC gamers can expect more stable performance when RTX Ray Tracing is enabled, and DLSS will feature further image quality improvements. Beyond that, the game now features a full Ukrainian localisation and a developer commentary which is designed to be used in the New Game .

With New Game , which is available after Metro Exodus players finish the game’s campaign, players will be able to replay the whole game with access to all weapons and attachments that were unlocked in prior playthroughs. A large number of options will also be available to customise the mode’s gameplay. Options include the ability to give AI enemies more armour/hitpoints (for humans and “creatures” respectively) or make human NPCs more willing to use explosives in combat. Players can also restrict the game to specific weather conditions, limit crafting, give Artyom only one available weapons slot or disable saves outside of level transitions.

On PC, Metro Exodus’ Ranger Update will be around 6GB in size, and full patch notes for the PC update are available to read here.
