Modders strip PSN login requirement from God of War Ragnarok

Modders have stripped the PlayStation SDK from God of War Ragnarok’s PC version

Days after God of War Ragnarok’s PC release, modders have removed the game’s PlayStation Network (PSN) login requirement. This means that PC gamers no longer need to log into the PlayStation Network to play this game on PC.

Sony’s PlayStation Network login requirements have been controversial for all games it has been implemented into. This is especially true for single player-only games like God of War Ragnarok. Simply put, this is an unnecessary requirement that only restricts the access of PC games to PlayStation PC games. After all, Sony’s PlayStation Network is not available in all countries.

If you don’t want to log into PSN when playing God of War Ragnarok, you can download the NoPsSDK mod from Nexus Mods. If you want the game to run faster on your system, you can read our PC optimisation tips on our God of War Ragnarok PC Performance Review.

So far, God of War Ragnarok’s PC version has been well received. Most negative reviews come from gamers who dislike the game’s PSN login requirements.
