Nvidia reveals their next wave of DLSS 3 (and DLSS 3.5) games at Gamescom
Nvidia’s DLSS 3 tech is coming a lot of new PC titles, and Nvidia users are choosing to turn DLSS On
At Gamescom 2023, Nvidia has revealed a new wave of upcoming DLSS titles, and has confirmed that DLSS ad option has increased by 1.6x year over year. Now, over 450 games and apps are getting accelerated with Nvidia’s RTX technologies, and 79% of RTX 40 series users are choosing to turn DLSS On.Â
The first of Nvidia’s newly announced DLSS 3 games is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which will support DLSS 3 and Nvidia’s Reflex technologies at launch. At this time, it is unknown if Modern Warfare III will support ray tracing on PC, as its predecessor, Modern Warfare II, chose to drop ray tracing support in favour of higher framerates.Â
Payday 3 will be launching with support for Nvidia’s DLSS 3 and Reflex technologies. The game will be released this September. With DLSS 3, Payday 3 will support Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution on all RTX graphics cards and support DLSS Frame Generation on RTX 40 series GPUs.
Epic Games’ Fortnite already supports Nvidia’s DLSS Super Resolution and Reflex technologies, but soon the game will be updated to support DLSS 3, adding DLSS Frame Generation to the game for RTX 40 series GPU owners. This should allow users of RTX 40 series GPUs to achieve higher framerates within Fortnite, allowing the game to run smoother on supported hardware. Â
DLSS 3.5
At Gamescom 2023, Nvidia has revealed their new DLSS 3.5 technology, adding DLSS Ray Reconstruction to the company’s suite of AI game enhancement techniques. With DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Nvidia can deliver enhanced levels of ray tracing quality, and in some games this technique will also offer gamers performance benefits.Â
Early DLSS 3.5 games include Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Alan Wake II. Portal with RTX is also receiving a DLSS 3.5 update, increasing the quality of the game’s ray tracing effects.

Nvidia’s DLSS technology has proven to be incredibly popular amongst PC gamers and game developers a like. The performance boosting nature of DLSS has allowed PC gamers to do more with their hardware, enabling higher framerates, or higher resolution gameplay for gamers. DLSS also allows gamers to mitigate the performance downsides of modern graphical effects like ray tracing, giving gamers access to higher levels of graphical fidelity.
