Valve-leaked FSR 4.1 DLL works on AMD RDNA 3 and 3.5 GPUs

Valve leaks FSR 4.1.1 early, and gamers have already got it working on AMD RDNA 3 and 3.5 GPUs

As we reported earlier today, Valve’s latest Proton Experimental release includes new FSR 4 DLLs. PC gamers on Reddit have now tested these DLL files, and have confirmed that they work on AMD RDNA 3 and RDNA 3.5 GPUs.

Valve has reportedly removed downloads for this FSR DLL. However, this has not stopped others from sharing the file online. Users have reported that this DLL includes a new INT8 version of FSR 4.1 and can be used with Optiscaler to upgrade games to AMD’s new FSR.

AMD has not officially released this new version of FSR yet. That said, AMD has confirmed that FSR 4.1 support for Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs is coming soon. AMD has confirmed that it plans to release FSR 4.1 for RDNA 3 GPUs in July. That said, AMD could accelerate their release timetable based on this leak.

Above, we can see FSR 4.1 working on an RDNA 3.5-based integrated graphics solution. If AMD officially releases this feature for RDNA 3.5 GPUs, it could be a godsend for users of devices like Microsoft’s ROG Xbox Ally X, as it brings ML-based RDNA 3.5-based gaming products.

Now that this new FSR 4.1 INT8 DLL has leaked, PC gamers can use it through Optiscaler. That said, it now seems clear that an official release of this new FSR 4 version is imminent. It shouldn’t be long before official drivers arrive.
