Red Dead Redemption II’s PC unlock time has been released

Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption II will release on PC tomorrow, but most PC gamers remain unaware of when the game will release in their region. Yes, we all know that the game releases on November 5th, but when will it release on November 5th?

As a public service announcement, we will inform you all that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on PC at 8 AM Eastern Time (ET) on November 5th. In the UK, this translates to 1 PM GMT. This game won’t release at midnight.

Pre-loads for the game are currently available on Rockstar’s launcher, with the game’s pre-load files weighing in at little under 110GB. Both AMD and Nvidia have released optimised drivers for the game, ready for the game’s release on November 5th.

Graphically, Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch with HDR support, support for ultra-wide monitors, higher framerates than the 30FPS console version and large number of new graphical effects. Multi-monitor support will also be available.

The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature longer draw distances, reducing pop-in, higher-quality global illumination effects, enhanced ambient occlusion and other improvements to in-game lighting. PC gamers can also expect improved reflections, higher quality snow trails, higher resolution shadows, tesselated tree textures and improved textures across game assets.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC versions will also feature a larger number of horse types and variants, as well as new weapons like the Le Mat Revolver and the M1899 Pistol. Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC system requirements are available to read here.
