Rockstar blames Red Dead Redemption 2’s remaining PC issues on Nvidia – Promises a fix soon

Rockstar Games has released an update on Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version, revealing the cause of some of Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC issues. This update also stated that Rockstar is preparing fixes for the game’s remaining issues and that they plan to give players of the game free loot as an apology for the game’s present state.

While it is claimed that Rockstar has already identified and resolved a number of issues, Rockstar has confirmed that further game updates will be required to fix the game for some PC gamers. Rockstar has made it clear that some of these issues are due to “combinations of Nvidia Drivers, Nvidia GPU cards and certain CPUs”, and that the company is actively working with Nvidia to completely resolve stuttering issues on their graphics cards.

Today, Rockstar plans to release an update which will address the game’s stuttering issues for some users and introduce several new fixes. However, a further update will be required to address some issues on Nvidia hardware.

For the next few weeks, Rockstar is offering Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC players access to a complimentary package on Red Dead Online which will feature a Prieto Poncho, an assortment of provisions and ammo. More details about this package will be available in the coming days.

Hopefully Rockstar’s new game update will address most of Red Dead Redemption 2’s remaining issues on PC. Below is Rockstar Games’ full “Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Update”.

Right now, most of Red Dead Redemption 2’s remaining issues appear to be specific to Nvidia’s graphics hardware, and even then they remain specific to a small sub-section of users. Even so, Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC launch has been a disaster for a number of reasons, but at least now most of these early teething issues have, or will soon be, resolved.
