ShadPS4 can now boot Infamous, Knack, Killzone, and more PS4 games

ShadPS4 can now boot some of PlayStation 4’s best games

PlayStation 4 emulation keeps getting better and better. ShadPS4, the leading PS4 emulator, has now been shown booting some of the console’s best games. Just a few months ago, this feat was impossible, showcasing the tremendous progress the emulator has made in 2024.

Below, we have a video showcasing ShadPS4 booting some of the PS4’s heavy hitters. These include Infamous Last Light, Infamous Second Son, Ratched & Clank, Knack, Killzone Shadowfall, and Medieval. None of these games have a PC version, so emulation is the only way to play them on PC.

Sadly, none of these games are anywhere close to being playable. Regardless, moving from crashing to booting is a significant step for any console emulator. In time, ShadPS4 should be able to play these games and more, which is great news for PlayStation 4 fans.

ShadPS4 may not be the only PS4 emulator, but it is currently the best one available. While it is not fully playable, the emulator can already play much of Bloodborne, and other users have used it to play Red Dead Redemption. This has driven a lot of interest in ShadPS4, as Sony and From Software seem uninterested in porting Bloodborne to PC.
