Shenmue 3 has been delayed until November

Deep Silver and Yu Suzuki have announced that Shenmue 3 has been delayed until November 19th, almost three months after the game’s previous release date of August 27th.

While Shenmue 3 is “almost ready”, the “simply needs a little more refinement” before the game’s official release. The extra time is said to help make Shenmue into a “true Shenmue experience [that] players around the world deserve!”

The original Shenmue release on December 1999, almost 20 years before the new release date of Shenmue 3. Shenmue 3 was originally revealed at E3 2015 at the PlayStation press conference. This year Sony will not be attending E3 2019 as an exhibitor, making Shenmue 3 unlikely to appear at the gaming event.

Shenmue 3 will release on both PlayStation 4 and PC, skipping over Microsoft’s Xbox One series consoles.
