Shenmue 3’s official PC system requirements have been released

The Shenmue series is almost 20 years old, with the franchise dating back to SEGA’s ill-fated Dreamcast console, offering visuals which were impressive at the time, but barely hold a candle to what’s available today. 

Shenmue 3 is set to release on November 19th on PC and PlayStation 4, bringing the series to new graphical heights thanks to the powers of Unreal Engine 4 and the strength of today’s console and PC hardware. 

As launch approaches, many PC gamers will be asking this question; is my system ready? Now we have an answer for you, as YS Net has finally released Shenmue 3’s PC system requirements. 

On the CPU-side YS Net states that PC gamers should use a “quad-core or better” processor, listing their minimum processor requirement as an Intel i5-4460 while recommending an i7-7700 or better CPU. These requirements should highlight that the game needs a 4-core processor, but the i7 recommendation suggests that CPUs with higher core/thread counts will also see hardware utilisation. 

GPU-wise Shenmue 3 will be a scalable experience, listing Nvidia’s GTX 650 Ti as its minimum supported graphics card and a 2GB minimum VRAM requirement. On the higher-end YS Net recommends Nvidia’s GTX 1070 graphics card, though at this time it is unknown what resolution or framerate this graphics card listing targets.
