Sony details Grand Theft Auto V’s upcoming PS5 version – 4K 60 FPS Confirmed!

As part of a Sony Germany blog post, the company has revealed some new information about Grand Theft Auto 5’s upgraded PlayStation 5 version, confirming that the game would run at a higher resolution and refresh rate on the company’s latest console.

Grand Theft Auto 5’s upgraded PlayStation 5 version will run at a 4K resolution at 60 FPS, delivering a significant framerate and resolution upgrade over the game’s existing PlayStation 4 version, which runs at 1080p 30 FPS.

At this time, it is unknown how Grand Theft Auto V will be upgraded for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles outside of each game’s heightened framerate targets and gameplay resolutions. These upgraded versions of the game will likely utilise some of the higher-end graphical features of the game’s PC version. However, mode advanced upgrades, including ray tracing support, are also possible.

Below is what Sony Germany has to say about Grand Theft Auto V’s PlayStation 5 version.

Have you already played the ultimate gangster epic on PS3?
And again on PS4? Have you really had enough of Los Santos already? Of course not, and that’s why
Grand Theft Auto V in the expanded and improved version for PS5 should be high on your wish list.

You have never seen the criminal metropolis Los Santos so beautiful when the skyline shines thanks to a bold graphic update in crisp 4K resolution and you make the city extremely smooth and unsafe thanks to a smooth 60 FPS.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming to PlayStation 5 on November 11th, and PlayStation 5 owners will receive a free standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online between November 2021 and February 2022.
