Space Marine 2 gains Siege Mode, DLSS 4, and Ray Tracing on PC

Space Marine 2 has received its largest update to date

Patch 8.0 has landed for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, adding a new PVE mode called “Siege Mode” to the game.

With this new mode, players can battle against endless waves of enemies, with each wave featuring stronger opponents. When the battle gets tough, players can call for reinforcements, such as Imperial Guard Squads and Space Marine Dreadnaughts. Players must battle for survival and complete side objectives. Every fifth wave includes a boss battle, which will see players combat multiple elite enemies simultaneously.

Siege Mode is a free content update for all Space Marine 2 players. It requires no DLC to enable.

Siege Mode expands on our PVE operations, emphasizing endless enemy waves that challenge even the strongest teams. When overwhelmed, players may call reinforcements for assistance. Engage in intense battles across three distinctive sectors, each requiring strategic adaptation. Side objectives emerge during combat, providing essential resources used to summon elite Space Marines or a formidable Dreadnought, drastically shifting battlefield dynamics.

Alongside patch 8.0’s content updates, Space Marine 2’s PC version has now gained support for Nvidia’s DLSS 4 technology, and support for Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO), an experimental graphical feature.

With DLSS 4, Space Marine 2 players can use Nvidia’s DLSS Multi Frame Generation technology. Additionally, players will have access to Nvidia’s new transformer-based DLSS AI upscaler.

With update 8.0, Space Marine 2 players can now access the game’s Blood Angels Cosmetics pack and White Scars Chapter Pack.
