Space Marine 2 patch 5 adds FSR/DLSS Frame Generation and new content
Space Marine 2’s 5.0 update adds frame generation, new content, and the Dark Angels Chapter Pack
Update 5.0 has landed for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2, adding tonnes of new content to the game alongside support for DLSS and FSR Frame Generation on PC. The game’s new content includes the Dark Angels Chapter Pack, a new Operation called “Obelisk”, and new Space Marine customisation options. The update also includes various bug fixes and balance updates.
Operation: Obelisk will send players to Demerium on a mission to find a replica of an Obelisk. This mission runs parallel to Space Marine 2âs campaign and will introduce a new unit to the Chaos faction. This unit is the Tzaangor Enlightened, a new âMajorisâ enemy.
With the addition of Frame Generation support, users of compatible GPUs can make Space Marine 2 run smoother on PC using generated frames. This is great news for owners of high refresh rate monitors. After all, who doesn’t want more fluid Warhammer 40K action?
With DLSS 3 and FSR 3 Frame Gen support, PC gamers can boost their game’s framerates to deliver increased game smoothness/fluidity. We tested AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames 2 technology in Space Marine 2 to see the effects of AMD’s technology. With official FSR 3 Frame Generation support, players can expect better visual results. Furthermore, official Frame Generation support in-game will allow more gamers to benefit from this feature.
