Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 PC Performance Review

AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 (AFMF2) Tested

AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 is the only Frame Generation option available for Space Marine 2 at launch

AMD’s latest Fluid Motion Frames 2 preview driver is optimised for Space Marine 2. At launch, AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames tech is the only way to benefit from Frame Generation when playing Space Marine 2. We tried it out, and it works as intended. When used with Radeon Anti-Lag, I do not notice any changes to input latency, but I see an increase in game smoothness. Overall, AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames 2 tech works as intended, which is great news for users of high refresh rate monitors.

Overall, I did not notice any major graphical issues when using AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames 2 technology. If I moved quickly, the game’s aiming reticle might appear strange momentarily, but only during fast, sweeping motions. Otherwise, it looked like a game-integrated Frame Generation technique, not a driver-level feature. Impressive work AMD!
