Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 PC Performance Review
4K Performance
Space Marine 2 is a demanding game
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a demanding PC game. From both a CPU and GPU perspective, this game asks a lot from your hardware. As such, we will test this game at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, both with and without FSR/DLSS upscaling. We will test the game using its “native” modes, DLSS, and FSR.
Native Resolution 4K Performance
To play Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at native 4K, you will need an incredibly powerful graphics card. None of the GPUs that we have on hand can run this game at native 4K. Clearly, this game demands something like a Radeon RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4090 to achieve that level of performance. For higher framerate 4K gaming, users will need to use upscaling, Frame Generation, or both.
DLSS and FSR to the rescue
Once again, DLSS and FSR step in to make this game a lot easier to run at 4K. For GPUs lower than the RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900 XT, you must use lower graphical settings or more performant upscaling modes to achieve 60 FPS gameplay.
