Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Gameplay Reveal will happen at E3
When the game was revealed, all the company had to show for it was a pre-rendered trailer, showcasing no gameplay for the Unreal Engine 4 based experience, giving PC gamers no indication of what the final game looks or plays like. Â
Respawn Entertainment’s CEO, Vince Zampella, has confirmed that Jedi: Fallen Order will have its gameplay reveal at E3 2019, likely at EA’s pre-E3 EA Play event. Unlike previous years, EA Play will not have an all-encompassing livestream, with the publisher instead opting for a larger number of dedicated streams for specific gaming titles and genres, which means that Jedi: Fallen Order will likely have an extended, game-focused livestream. EA Play starts on June 7th.
Fallen Order follows a Jedi Padawan called Cal Kestis, who if voice acted by Cameron Monaghan. Fallen Order will be based after the fall of the Jedi in Star Wars: Episode III, taking place between episodes III and IV of the film series.Â
Cal, like all surviving Jedi, is hiding from the emerging Galactic Empire; remaining out of sight while working as a salvager on a planet called Bracca alongside BD-1, his droid companion. By keeping his force sensitivity hidden and staying under the Empire’s radar he can remain safe, but given the fact that this is a game, you can guess that things eventually go wrong.Â
Respawn promises an in-depth combat system within Fallen Order, one which will demand that players learn how to use all of Cal’s abilities to succeed. Purge Trooper have already been confirmed for the game, melee-focused soldiers which are trained to hunt down any surviving Jedi.Â
