Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s long-awaited PC optimisation patch has arrived
Patch 9 has arrived for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and it has some BIG changes
EA launched Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in May 2023. Now, over a year later, EA is releasing a major PC-focused update for the game. Until now, the game’s PC version has been plagued by issues. This includes stuttering, hitching, poor keyboard/mouse functionality in menus, and more. Now, thanks to update 9, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may finally have a worthy PC version.
For starters, update 9 promises “fixes for several sources of framerate hitching”. Next up, we have “framerate improvements for various hardware configurations”. Additionally, we have improved mouse/keyboard functionality. Many of the game’s core issues appear to be addressed. That said, we plan to test this update later today to see if EA’s claims are true. After all, this isn’t the first time that EA has released a performance-fixing update for this game.
Even Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s ray tracing implementation has been improved to deliver better CPU usage and performance scaling. Furthermore, EA has confirmed that Denuvo has been removed from the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, another good addition to EA’s list of improvements.

This PC update for Star Wars Jedi Survivor comes over a year after launch
Overall, EA appears to have fixed most of the glaring issues facing Jedi: Survivor on PC. That said, this update arrives over a year late. To put it simply, PC gamers deserve better than this. EA, you need to step up your support for the PC gaming market. This game should have never launched on PC as it did. It’s baffling that you allowed the game to ship with so many issues, never mind that it took you over a year to fix them. Credit where credit is due; this game was eventually updated and fixed. The efforts of the devs behind this update are appreciated.
