Star Wars Outlaws is coming to Steam
Star Wars Outlaws is coming to Steam earlier than expected
Recent years have seen Ubisoft bring most of their newer PC games to Steam, but never at launch. With games like Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Skull and Bones their PC versions have always been launched through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store first. Steam releases have always come later, much later.
Now, Ubisoft has confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws is coming to Steam on November 21st. Furthermore, the company has also revealed that the game’s first story pack, “Wild Card”, will launch on the same day. Additionally, all owners of the game will receive access to new contracts when the DLC launches. In effect, Outlaws will have both paid DLC and free DLC to enjoy.
Typically, it takes longer for Ubisoft to bring its newest games to Steam. For Star Wars Outlaws, the wait is less than three months. Given Ubisoft’s poor financial performance, it is likely that Ubisoft is accelerating the Steam release of Outlaws to improve its financial position.
