Star Wars Outlaws is now available on Steam

Ubisoft has finally brought Star Wars Outlaws’ PC version to Steam

It has been a big week for Star Wars Outlaws. The game’s 1.4.0 update has brought major changes to the game, and the game’s “Wild Card” story pack is now available. Furthermore, Star Wars Outlaws’ PC version is now available on Steam, PC’s largest game launcher.

Since launch, Ubisoft has delivered major reworks to many areas of Star Wars Outlaws, improving the game’s performance and gameplay significantly. At launch, the game sold fewer copies than expected, and it remains to be seen whether the company’s reworks will impact the game’s long-term sales.

Typically, it takes much longer for Ubisoft to bring its newest games to Steam. For Star Wars Outlaws, the wait was less than three months. Given Ubisoft’s poor financial performance, it is likely that Ubisoft is accelerating the Steam release of Outlaws to help improve its financial position.

So, is Star Wars Outlaws a good game now? Well, it’s better than it was at launch. We have not played the game’s newest version, but its changes to stealth and combat are certainly welcome changes. On Steam, the game is now available with a 25% discount. This makes the game £44.99.
