Stevehat1 Breaks 1 Billion points in [email protected]

[email protected] is a distributed computing project where members of the public can take on compute projects for Stanford University’s studies of Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s and many forms of cancer.

Right now over 126,000 computers across the world are outputting a mindbending amount of computing power in order to achieve a single goal, to find a cure for these diseases.

Over time folding has became very competitive in nature, teams formed and a large number of folders have became very passionate about the cause, placing an ever increasing the amount of computational power and resources into the cause.

This article is to celebrate the achievements of one particular member of the OC3D community, the top member of the OC3D Redline (98860) team, who has just passed the 1 billion Point mark. To put things simply stevehat1 is an inspiration, being one of the world’s top 100 folders and the undisputed head of the OC3D Redline Folding team (98860).

Right now stevehat1 is the world’s 65th folder and is the top folder in the OC3D Redline team (98860), the world’s 39th best folding team.

If you wish to learn more about folding at home, you can go to the official [email protected] website or head to the folding section of the OC3D Forums, where you can find out not just how to fold, but get tips and tricks from the team on how to get the most out of your system.

At this time it is my wish to acquaint myself further with the program so that in the future I may also become a resource to help with this worthy cause.  If you want to fold for the OC3D Redline folding team, remember that our team id is 98860.
