The Elder Scrolls VI has been named “Sentinel” and could be unveiled soon
The Elder Scrolls VI is reportedly called “Sentinel” and could be revealed this month
Microsoft is reportedly preparing to unveil its next The Elder Scrolls game, possibly as soon as next month. According to The Verge’s Tom Warren, the game will be called “Sentinel”. The game is reportedly set in Hammerfell, the homeland of the Redguard. This region last appeared in a mainline Elder Scrolls game in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.
Sentinel is one of the main regions in Hammerfell, and is exactly eight letters long. Why is this important? Xbox CEO Asha Sharma recently posted about a live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls VI: ********. Was she teasing The Elder Scrolls IV: Sentinel?
Warren has reported that Bethesda is showing gameplay internally, and that the game’s title could be revealed this month. This reveal could be on November 11th, 2026. This would mark the fifteenth anniversary of Skyrim’s release. It is currently unknown when Sentinel will be released.
Live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls VI: ******** this morning. The scale and grandeur are incredible. The story is even greater.

The Elder Scrolls VI was first unveiled at E3 2018. That said, the game became Bethesda’s focus only after Starfield’s release. This means that The Elder Scrolls fans have been waiting for most of a decade for The Elder Scrolls VI. However, if you consider the wait as starting when Skyrim’s last expansion launched, the wait has already been much longer than a decade. After all, Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC launched in 2012.
