Ubisoft details Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s PC Features and Beta

Ubisoft has released a new “PC Features Trailer” for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which confirms that the game will feature “full PC optimisation”, support for an unlocked framerate, ultra-wide resolutions and multi-monitor setups.

Over their past two quarters (Q1 2019/20 and Q4 2018/19), PC sales made up the largest chunk of the company’s net bookings, securing the platform as one of the publishers most lucrative. With this in mind, it makes sense for Ubisoft to increase its focus on PC, especially as current-generation consoles reach the end of their lifecycles.

PC is currently set to be the definitive platform for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, featuring support for higher framerates, Ultra class graphics settings and AMD’s FidelityFX technology. FidelityFX is a post-processing technique which is designed to add sharpness to an image without adding any artefacts, enhancing image detail with no downsides. We looked at the graphical impact of FidelityFX in Bethesda’s RAGE 2 and found it to be a useful addition to the game. We certainly look forward to testing this feature in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is also going to support fully rebindable controls, Tobii eye-tracking support and contain within it a dedicated benchmarking tool for performance testing.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is due to release on both UPlay and the Epic Games Store on October 4th. The game will also receive a free Beta on PC on September 5th, but only to those who sign up for Ubisoft’s free Uplay trial.
