Ubisoft promises “locked to 30 FPS” PC fix for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has a bug that can lock the game to 30 FPS on PC
Ubisoft has confirmed that it is preparing a fix for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Currently, cutscenes in Black Flag Resynced can lock to 30 FPS under specific circumstances. Specifically, this is when settings like ray tracing, BVH, and Terrain Quality are manually set to the game’s Ultra High settings.
The good news is that PC gamers can currently avoid this bug by using the game’s pre-configured graphical presets or manually setting these options to anything other than Ultra High. We expect a patch to address this bug sometime in the near future.
To our PC players: We are aware of an issue where cutscenes are locked to 30FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting.
We have a fix coming very soon, but in the meantime you can use the following workaround:

We’ve tested Assassin’s Creed Black Flag extensively on PC (see our PC performance review here), and overall the game runs great on the platform. That said, Ultra High settings are for gamers with high-end PCs. Most PC gamers would likely be better off using a lower preset and playing the game at a higher framerate. That said, gamers with high-end hardware and performance to spare should go nuts!
