VR support for Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming in December for SteamVR headsets

ASOBO has confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator will receive support for VR headsets in Decembers, offering compatibility with SteamVR and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

Like all games which offer players a cockpit view, Microsoft Flight Simulator is an ideal title for VR gamers. In a recent interview (as documented by Road to VR), ASOBO’s Executive producer, Martial Bossard, confirmed that VR support was coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator “before the holidays”, which means that VR gamers will be able to enjoy Microsoft Flight Simulator sooner than later.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is an incredibly demanding game on PC, and this will be truer than ever in VR, where high framerates are a must. Nobody wants a combination of VR and air sickness, so we hope that VR support will launch alongside a series of new performance optimisations for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
