Dawn of War IV is coming to PC in 2026

At Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL), Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV was officially unveiled. The game is due to release in 2026 and will come from KING Art, the studio behind Iron Harvest. This will be the first game in the series that isn’t from Relic Entertainment.

When the game launches, Dawn of War IV will have four playable factions. These are Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. This will be the first game in the series to include the Adeptus Mechanicus as a playable faction.

The game will feature 70+ campaign missions that can be played solo or in co-op. The game’s story comes from the Black Library author John French. The game will also feature skirmish mode, last stand mode, and multiplayer. Note that 1v1, 2v2, and 3V3 modes will be available in multiplayer.

With this new entry, KING Art promises to deliver “classic Dawn of War gameplay” and to return the series to its roots. This should mean that the game will play like the original Dawn of War, which was recently remastered by Relic Entertainment with the game’s Definitive Edition.
