Xbox, bring back 2013’s Deadpool game, you have the power!

Microsoft could bring back 2013’s Deadpool game

Deadpool and Wolverine has already proved to be a huge success in Cinemas, and many gamers want to have a little more Deadpool in their lives as a result. Unfortunately, it has been a while since a dedicated Deadpool game has released on PC or consoles. To make matters worse, that game is not currently available to purchase. Licensing issues have removed the game from sale on digital storefronts, causing remaining copies to skyrocket in value.

2013’s Deadpool was an excellent game, and Microsoft/Xbox have the power to bring the game back. Microsoft now own Activision, the publisher of 2013’s Deadpool, and its developer, High Moon Studios. If Microsoft can sort out this game’s licensing issues, there is no reason why it can’t become available again on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X/S, and PC.

It has happened before, it can happen again

Deadpool launched on Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 in 2013 and was removed from digital storefronts in 2014. To coincide with the release of 2015’s Deadpool movie, the game was relaunched on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, only to be removed from sale again in 2017.

If Deadpool could be re-released before, there is no reason why it can’t be re-released again. Remember, this game’s Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be compatible with today’s PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Beyond that, the game’s original PC version will still be compatible with modern PCs. While a “next-gen” update would be nice, a re-release of the game’s existing console/PC version would make a lot of gamers happy.

Microsoft, bring back 2013’s Deadpool game!

Microsoft, you now own Activision and High Moon Studios. You have the power to bring back this Marvel gaming classic. The game already exists in a form that’s compatible with current-gen consoles. Returning the game to sale (even for a limited time) is a guaranteed money generator for Activision. Microsoft, this is an easy PR win for Xbox gaming! Just do it! Bring back Deadpool!
