Yakuza Kiwami 3 leaks through developer website

RGG Studio appears to be working on a Yakuza 3 Remake

Eagle-eyed fans have managed to spot a new game listing on the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio website, which temporarily made mentions of Yakuza Kiwami 3. This game appears to be a remake of Yakuza 3. Mentions of this game on the company’s website have since been removed.

Recent years have seen the Yakuza series surge in popularity as the entire series made its way to PC and Xbox platforms. Amazon has also released a miniseries based on the Like a Dragon: Yakuza franchise.

Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 were remakes of Yakuza 1 and 2. These games were released quickly after the release of Yakuza 0, a prequel to these games. If Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio follows convention, Yakuza 3 will soon be recreated using the studio’s new engine.

Given this leak, all eyes will be on this year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS). If Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are about to unveil a new Yakuza/Like A Dragon game, it will be there. At TGS, Microsoft is also reportedly planning to unveil a new Forza Horizon game, with Japan as its host country.
