Forza Horizon 6 to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show

The Forza Horizon series is going to Japan!

According to an exclusive report from Windows Central, Microsoft and Playground Games plan to unveil Forza Horizon 6 next month. The game is due to be unveiled at the Tokyo Games Show, a fitting location given the game’s setting. That’s right, the Forza Horizon series is going to Japan.

Windows Central claims to have seen internal documents about the game. This supports the claims of previous leaks, which suggested that Playground Games were digitally scanning Kei cars for their next Forza Horizon games. Kei cars are ultra-compact cars that are rare outside of Japan.

We’ve seen official, widely circulated documents strongly suggesting that Forza Horizon 6 is actually planned to be announced during 2025’s Tokyo Game Show, an annual gaming-focused conference kicking off in Japan toward the end of September.

It is likely that Microsoft plans to launch its next Forza Horizon game sometime in 2026. It is likely that this will be the first Forza Horizon game to be exclusive to current-generation consoles. Remember, Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Like Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 6 is expected to come to Sony’s PlayStation 5 alongside Xbox and PC.
