Far Cry 5 is getting a 60 FPS upgrade on current-generation consoles, and a free weekend on all platforms

Far Cry 5 will be celebrating its 5th anniversary next week, and to celebrate Ubisoft plans to release a 60 FPS patch for their game for gamers on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5. This 60 FPS patch will apply to the base game and all of its DLC. 

Additionally, Ubisoft has revealed that Fr Cry 5 will be free-to-play between March 23rd and March 27th, and that the game, its DLC, and Ubisoft’s other Far Cry titles will be available with up to an 85% discount from now until April 4th on the Ubisoft Store.

In addition to smoother 60 FPS gameplay, gamers on current-generation consoles will also be able to enjoy Far Cry 5 at higher resolutions than before, with Xbox Series X players being able to plat the game at 3840×2160 (4K), PS5 gamers being able to play at 2880×1620, and Xbox Series S players being able to play the game at 1080p.
