Patriot memory teases their crazy-fast Viper PV553 PCIe 5.0 SSD

Patriot Memory’s teasing a Computex 2023 12,400 MB/s SSD reveal

Patriot Memory has confirmed that they will be attending Computex 2023, and that the company plans to showcase a variety of new and upcoming products at the event, one of which is their Viper PV553 PCIe 5.0 SSD. 

Patiot’s Viper PV553 PCIe 5.0 SSD will release under the company’s Viper Gaming sub-brand and boasts sequential read and write speeds of 12,400 MB/s and 11,800 MB/s, making this drive much faster than many currently available 10,000 MB/s PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

Currently, it is unknown what NAND or SSD controller Patriot are using for their Viper PV553 PCIe 5.0 SSD, though their teaser image above confirms that the drive will feature a pre-installed heatsink and that this heatsink will include a fan. 

Alongside their new Viper PV553 SSD, Patriot also plans to reveal new PCIe 4.0 SSD models, which will cater to the mainstream SSD market. Patriot also plans to showcase new DDR5 memory options, peripherals, and other products. 

Computex 2023 will be hosted between May 30th and June 2nd.
