Many portable devices utilise the compact M.2 2230 form factor, offering users of these products limited upgrade potential due to the relative rarity of these compact M.2 SSDs. Better still, availability though Scan allows buyers to avoid the eBay sellers that often sell these drives with no warranties and huge mark ups. For £200, Western Digital’s 2TB SN740 SSD is a genuine bargain for Steam Deck upgraders who want a tonne of onboard storage, offering a huge amount of storage for relatively little money. I expect this drive to sell out quickly at Scan, but thankfully Scan has confirmed to us that they have more of these drives on the way.
