TerraMaster delivers 80 Gbps speeds with its D1 SSD Pro enclosure

TerraMaster delivers 80 Gbps storage performance with its D1 SSD Pro Thunderbolt 5/USB4 V2 enclosure

TerraMaster is taking advantage of Thunderbolt 5 and USB4 V2 to deliver up to 80 Gbps of storage performance with its new D1 SSD Pro enclosure. This enclosure supports M.2 2280, 2242, and 2230 drives and delivers storage speeds up to 7061 MB/s. That’s close to the maximum speeds of PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

With “Universal Compatibility”, TerraMaster’s new SSD enclosure supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Additionally, it supports Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, USB 4 V2, USB 3.2, USB 3.1, and USB 3.0. This SSD can be plugged into any modern PC with ease.

With its full aluminium body and integrated thermal pad, this enclosure can keep the fastest PCIe 4.0 SSDs cool under load. With its passive cooling design, this enclosure makes no noise. Thanks to a useful LED indicator, users can see at a glance which speeds this SSD can deliver. Orange for USB 3.2 and lower, and white for USB4/Thunderbolt 3 or better.

With this SSD enclosure, TerraMaster supplies an 80 Gbps verified USB Type-C cable and includes support for their TPC Backup software. On TerraMaster’s website, this SSD enclosure costs $254.99. That’s a high price, but so is everything with Thunderbolt 5.
